Interactive Township Tour for minimum 8 People on a Sunday

Enjoy an interactive township experience at the Masiphumelele Township, situated close to Cape Point in the Western Cape. This is truly a unique township experience, as you will get the chance to experience the everyday life and traditions of the township. This is not your standard touristy township tour, its the real thing.

Enjoy the vibrance of a shebeen - a local pub, a church service, make a traditional meal with the locals (called a potjiekos) and end the day with a visit to the Sangoma, a local traditional healer who will introduce you to drumming and dancing.

Please note that for this township day tour there needs to be a minimum of 8 people and the tour needs to be done on a Sunday, as that is the only day you will be able to experience a church service.

Masiphumelele Full Day Township Experience Includes :

• Upon arrival enjoy a visit to the local gospel church
• Stroll through the village to the home of Nomawethu where you will have cooking lessons on how to cook traditional African food. Enjoy a friendly cooking competition amongst each other as you learn how to make the traditional African "Potjiekos" . You will be cooking outdoors and on a wood fire.
• After lunch you will visit a Sangoma, a local traidtional healer who will provide dancing and drumming.
• The day will end with a visit to a local shebeen.
